There was no procrastination today...

but I did manage to make two crystal rings and enter various sweepstakes from the May issue of Lucky magazine. I flippin' love sweepstakes and raffles.

Instead of finishing my final two product descriptions...

I had networking coffee with a friend, which is always inspiring.

Wednesday, April 9, 2008

Instead of finishing up some product descriptions...

I made a crystal ring while watching Idol Gives Back (ANTM was a clip show, grr). I did this after having Liz and Jenna over for dinner (my pizza never disappoints).

Tuesday, April 8, 2008

Instead of writing product descriptions...

I brainstormed lectures and workshops to lead.

Thursday, April 3, 2008

Instead of writing pitch letters...

I had a long convo with my best friend Alison. I had a headache though, so I was a bit frazzled during the call. D'oh.

I cleared out 79 books that I'm going to sell to a used bookstore or take to Goodwill.

Tuesday, April 1, 2008

Instead of writing product descriptions...

I took a buttload of clothing items—ironed and on hangers—to my local consignment shop. They took 32 items, I took the rest to Goodwill. Godspeed, Nanette Lepore striped pants that never fit.

Monday, March 31, 2008

Instead of making phone calls for Allure...

I read the Rock of Love 2 blog. Gosh, that show is grade-A programming. I especially liked it when Daisy née Vanessa did a spot-on impression of a ventriloquist's dummy during elimination. Reading the blog this morning may have not been productive, exactly, but it was highly entertaining.

Monday, March 24, 2008

Instead of plowing through product descriptions...

I took a walk around Greenlake with a friend, and was reminded how fabulous Seattle smells in the spring and after a rain. I dropped my favorite hand-knitted hat, so we backtracked on the trail and found it hanging from a tree branch. I love this city.

Saturday, March 22, 2008

Instead of writing product descriptions...

I finished my Amy Butler camisole and then made a chicken checkbook cover. I'm sewed out.

Friday, March 21, 2008

Thursday, March 13, 2008

Instead of writing product descriptions...

I spent time with my stepsiblings at a bar with a football field painted on the ceiling. We were playing darts and trying to forget about the bust-into-tears-at-any-moment sadness of my stepbrother Paul's death.

Tuesday, March 11, 2008

Instead of writing a pitch letter...

I ripped all the grout out in the kitchen sink. Now I just have to recaulk it.

Monday, March 10, 2008

Instead of writing a pitch letter about my recent surgery...

I took a sewing class and got my Amy Butler tunic under way.

Friday, February 29, 2008

Instead of working on a pitch letter...

I bought some awesome Amy Butler fabric for my tunic class on Monday at The Quilting Loft. Fabrics are 20-percent off until March 3. Gorgeous, yes? Mac Daddy is pretty cute too.

Instead of finishing up a craft proposal...

I sent off a batch of Prairie Girl Potions to Make Shop & Studio in Dallas. They'll be consigning the products.

Wednesday, February 20, 2008

Obviously, I've been procrastinating about my procrastination blog...

Had surgery last week and just haven't felt up to much. So I guess I was procrastinating by laying in bed and wishing I could read my Mary, Queen of Scots book for more than 15 minutes at a time.

Instead of finishing up a new prairie proposal...

I'm powering through a lovely pink alpaca cabled hat. Photo to come...

Monday, February 4, 2008

Instead of finishing up an article...

I made a list of things for my mom to do while she's here. This is really a way to prevent me from doing them before she gets here on Saturday. She'll need something to do while I'm recovering from surgery next week.

I spent the wee hours of the morning looking up contacts on LinkedIn.

Thursday, January 17, 2008

I just cleaned out all my toiletries in my linen closet, filling up a brown paper bag of expired medication and products I don't fancy, as well as a brown paper bag of goodies to give away.

Wednesday, January 16, 2008

Instead of reviewing my memoir proposal...

I learned to sew (it's a cafe apron with a mitten-shaped pocket)!

Tuesday, January 15, 2008

Instead of preparing for a meeting...

I prepped fabric by washing, pressing, and cutting out a pattern in anticipation of my sewing lesson tomorrow night.

Sunday, January 13, 2008

Instead of anything...

I attempted to get MS Word to work on my Mac. Grrr.

Saturday, January 12, 2008

Instead of reviewing a contract...

I trolled for samples downtown and caught up on my Oscar movie-viewing, watching No Country for Old Men through my fingers.

Friday, January 11, 2008

Instead of digging into my memoir proposal...

I cleaned my rug with my lame vacuum and then combed it—literally with a fine-tooth comb—to dislodge the Mac Daddy and Jen hair.
